  • Harvesting Period: The harvesting of Valencia oranges begins in late spring, around May, and can continue through the summer months, extending into early autumn.
  • Start of Season: Valencia oranges start appearing in the market around May or June, and their peak season lasts through the summer and early fall.

Mediterranean Sweet

  • Planting Time: Mediterranean sweet oranges are typically planted in Turkey during the same period as navel and Valencia oranges, from late winter to early spring.
  • Harvesting Period: Harvesting usually starts in November and can extend through the winter months, often until February or March.
  • Start of Season: These oranges become available in the market starting in November, with peak availability during December and January.
